This is a quick and simple tutorial on how to make your own Pregnancy baby belly cake for baby showers.

This is one of my first and one of my favourite fondant cakes that I have made. It was for my lovely best friends baby shower!! I was so excited to make her a pregnant cake and wanted it to be something special. I had seen a few tutorials and figured, “hey! I’m crafty enough! I can do this!”. Let the record stand that this was my SECOND fondant cake ever created.

Pregnancy baby belly fondant cake

This is my very first rose out of gum paste.

If I can do it, YOU CAN ALSO!

This is how you create this wonderful cake.

All you need is two from the mini-wonder mold pan.

boobs

Once they are baked and cooled ( best to put them in the freezer for about 30 mins ), shape them into “boobs”.

Use the Soccer ball pan to create the belly.

soccer

You place two from the mini-wonder cakes formed into breasts above the soccer cake and then drape Fondant over it all Making sure you leave enough at the bottom to create the skirt/dress. Shape it around the cakes and cut away any extra fondant.

Then, decorate as you want! She was having a boy so I went with her baby colours for her nursery.
